School Tours and Education Programme

Fethard Horse Country Experience (FHCE) is delighted to announce the launch of its new Primary School tour programme, designed to connect young students with the rich equine heritage and history of their local area. On Friday, 6th Class pupils from Rosegreen National School became the first group to take part in this educational experience.

The initiative is part of Coolmore’s ongoing commitment to support local communities and inspire the next generation through heritage, culture and learning.

“We are thrilled to welcome our first primary school group through the doors,” said Maurice Moloney on behalf of Coolmore and the Fethard Horse Country Experience. “Our aim is to spark curiosity and help young people understand the connections between the land, the people and the equine traditions that make this area so special.”

The Fethard Horse Country Experience offers an engaging and interactive journey through the story of the horse in Ireland, with a particular focus on the thriving community of Fethard. Through multimedia displays, historical narratives, and hands-on features, the museum brings centuries of history to life in a dynamic and educational way.

Visiting students will enjoy a guided tour led by a member of the Coolmore or Cashel Palace team, fun interactions and competitions in addition to a “Coolmore for Kids” booklet to take home.

“We hope schools across the region will take this opportunity to discover the FHCE,” Moloney added. “It’s a wonderful chance for students to explore their heritage in a memorable and enjoyable way.”
